Tiny Travelling Gallery

I'm very stoked to be including some work in this years edition of the Tiny Travelling Gallery.

Last year Scott Savage and Colleen Pugh  put together an amazing travelling gallery which they took to Designer Con in LA and the Renegade Art Fair in London.

The TTG included some really cool low brow artists from New Zealand and was crowdfunded to take our work to the world. Their designer created an amazing portable gallery in which to show the work.

Anyway, its happening all again this year, but in Auckland New Zealand, with a whole bunch of new artists taking part including some of my favorites - Seymour, Pinky Fang, Erin Forsyth and Devon Smith!

I'm currently putting together something for this year's show but in the meantime, here's a link to the zine I created for last years event, and a link to their website.

Scott and Colleen are doing a really cool thing, so come out and support!

Bootleg Bart/Tigers

I've been busy as of late with a few projects on the go,  there have been a couple of note that have been heaps of fun -

- Bootleg Bart - One of the premier art and culture magazines France's Be Street is holding dual exhibitions in Paris and LA this year and are running a competition  inviting artists to submit their own version of bootleg Bart (dodgy versions of Bart Simpson) to have a chance to show their work along side so many amazing artists  ( David M Cook, Kyle Platts, Sexual Youkai, Yaia, Lamour Supreme and more) I'm crossing my fingers that my entry will at least get a look in. At least it was fun to make

- Tigers - My brother in law is a massive fan of the Richmond Football Club aka the Tigers so for his birthday in collaboration with my brother Jay we made him a one off screen printed long sleeve pocket tee, I learned a few things making this, primarily that back prints need to be big!

I based the tiger design on an old Sailor Jerry tattoo, and the front pocket design is a classic slasher film hand gripping a kitchen knife.

The drawings were screen printed onto a white AS Color long sleeve, which was to be honest not the best canvas, AS Color shirts are quite thin, compared with a Gildan which has a real thickness and quality to it.

Aside from that I have projects on the go from Eb and Sparrow, and The Smith Street Band, two great bands making awesome music., plus some other group shows and planning for my trip in November.
